   Electro galvanized steel uses steel as the base material and is finished with a coating of zinc for corrosion prevention. The zinc coating slows down the rate of corrosion with its corrosion resistant and shielding qualities,increasing the life of steel products, conserving resources, and reducing energy consumption. 

EG steel has better surface quality and a thinner layer of zinc coating in comparison to hot-dipped galvanized steel. It is mostly utilized on products that require superb surface quality, e.g. home appliance, computer cases and LCD frames. CSC’s electro-galvanized steel not only has similar mechanical property and formability that of cold rolled steel, but is also superior in term of corrosion resistance. Generally zinc layer weights between 10~30g/m2.

 In response to the demand for various applications, different surface treatments are applied during the production process. Product categories include:

1. P: Zinc-coated steel + Phosphate treatment, generally applied as base metal of pre-painted steel.
2. C: Zinc-coated steel + Chromate treatment, generally applied as base metal of laminated steel.
3.     AFP: Zinc-coated steel + Chromate treatment + anti-finger print, generally utilized as computer cases, home appliance, and furniture.
4.   L: Zinc-coated steel + Chromate treatment + self- lubricated treatment, generally utilized as motor cases.
