Electrical Steel Coils

Electrical steel coils are made by using extra low
carbon and low nitrogen cold-rolled steel as the base
metal, which is firstly tempered to possess a specific
magnetic property by applying a special hot rolling
process, a cold reduction process and an annealing
cycle, and then degreased with hot caustic and flushed
with the DW water, and finally coated with an insulating
film.

The insulating coating on CSC’s electrical steel coils
possesses the functions of insulation, heat resistance,
corrosion resistance, coolant media resistance, collision
resistance and weldability, and the coils possess the
features of low iron loss, high magnetic density and low
magnetic aging.

Depending on its grain orientation, electrical steel
is categorized into grain-oriented and non-oriented and
is mostly used for manufacturing motors, transformers,
generators and compressors.

CSC is able to supply non-oriented electrical steel and
after years of technical research and development, CSC
is now providing a wide range of grades, from
50CS1300 of low efficiency to 35CS250 of thin gauge
and high efficiency, to satisfy various requirements from
customers.。

In line with the latest environmental regulations, CSC
has also developed electrical steel of high magnetic flux
density, e.g. 50CS600H and 50CS470H, which can
upgrade the efficiency of final product, such as motors,
transformers, etc.

While the world is working on cutting carbon emission
and saving energy, renewable energy industry like wind
generator and electric vehicle have attracted world’s
attention. CSC has also made its contribution to making
clean and green energy by developing electrical steel of
higher efficiency, e.g. 50CS230 and 35CS210, which will
be mass produced when CSC’ new production line for
high efficiency electrical steel starts its operation in 2014.
