　Chung Hung Steel Corp (CHS)’s cold rolling mill was put into operation in 1987, newly equipped with a 68 meter long pickling line and 6Hi UC-Mill, and batch annealing and tempering equipment.The mill has a production capacity of up to 450,000 tons, and can produce cold rolled steel plates and tempered coils ranging from thicknesses of 0.15 – 2.0 mm and 
widths of 900 – 1225 mm.

　After a continuous and dedicated effort to promote the use of better technology and to elevate product quality, CHS’s various steel products have attained first-class standards.In September of 1994, the mill became the first domestic Cold Rolling Department to be awarded with an ISO 9002 certificate, and with a successful conversion, it was accredited with an ISO 9001 certificate in October of 2002 as well.It was also given the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certificates.

　CHS’s cold rolled steel products vary in their luster; they can have a dull finish or a bright finish. The cold rolling mill’s high precision machinery enables it to efficiently process and produce high quality steel with flat surfaces and uniform thickness.The machines can easily produce large quantities without wasting excess steel.CHS s cold rolled products have been very well received because they are economical, durable, and can easily be reshaped into new products.
